Next Events:

Mont Alto's score for Beggars of Life will appear on a new release from Kino-Lorber on August 22.

The Mont Alto Orchestra has been invited to the Telluride Film Festival over Labor Day weekend, and to San Francisco for their Day of Silents on December 2! Both programs are as yet unannounced, but watch here for details later in the year.

Here are a couple of nice photoplay music pieces we recorded for recent projects. Allegro Precipitoso is for a runaway train in Beggars of Life, from the upcoming release on KIno-Lorber. Entreaty is one of our favorite pieces by J.S. Zamecnik, from last fall's release of Children of Divorce on Flicker Alley.

Mont Alto has recorded a series of scores for the recent Kino-Lorber release of Buster Keaton Short Films. Here's a nice waltz, Minnie T. Wright's The Faun, from our score to The Garage; Pierette, from The Scarecrow; and a Misterioso Fantastique by Irenee Berge from Neighbors.

Mont Alto's private reserve DVD of The Mark of Zorro, has received some great reviews! Details and sample audio files on our Recordings page. Read original reviews at DigitallyObsessed and at Also available, our DVD of Buster Keaton's The General.
