Here are two excerpts from our new score to Huckleberry Finn, playng on the Turner Classic Movies channel on December 14:

  • Sea Song by Christopher O'Hare. The opening title music foretells the broad, epic nature of Huck and Jim's voyage down the Mississippi.
  • Serenade Norvegienne, by Gustave Sandre. A comic piece that's used several times through the score.

Another recent recording project for Kino Video was Strike, the debut feature from Sergei Eisenstein. Here are two excerpts from the score:

  • Hungarian Dance, by A. Glazunow, for a scene featuring a picnic with a man playing accordion
  • Gitanella, by P. Lacome, an orchestral work with a bit of gypsy flair.
